"7.So that [the
genuineness] of your faith may be tested, [your faith] which is
infinitely more precious than the perishable gold which is tested and
purified by fire. [This proving of your faith is intended] to redound to
[your] praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the
Anointed One) is revealed." 1 Peter 1:7 AMP The time of
trials and temptations is actually a time of purification of the Spirit!
We draw closer to Him during trials, and if we let Him, He will show us
our faults under pressure ("fire"). If we are willing to acknowledge
them, and remove them from our life with God's help, we will become more
and more pure (or Holy) in His sight. It's not always easy, but we need
to be purified to be more effective for God. A good book about
