Life

Such a wonderful and busy time!

As we come into my favorite time of the year, I am eager to fill the orders that are already coming in for Fall festivals, as well as Thanks Giving and Christmas!
The orders that came in last year kept us really busy, and I expect nothing less this year.

I have had Coffee Trees for some time now, and over the years I have had to give some up and then replace them later on.  My personal ones I have now are about eight years old and have not produced Cherries,.. it least until recently!
I spoke with a good friend that I met while attending Boots Coffee Roasting School last year. He is a Coffee Farmer from Hawaii. After being inspired by his video of his Farm, I decided to make some changes to the way I have been taking care of our Coffee Trees. This small change has produced our very first Cherries! They are very small at this time, but should be fully developed by May. Cherries take a full nine months to fully develop, and each one carries two prized Coffee beans in each, unless they become a 'peaberry' Coffee bean.
I believe I will be changing the care instructions that we include with the Coffee Trees that we sell to include the changes we have made and have seen great results from.  If you have purchased a Coffee Tree seedling from us in the past, please feel free to 'Contact Us' and ask for the updated instructions. We will gladly email them to you!
We currently have some seedlings that are doing very well, and should be ready for sale by November. Please go to our 'Contact Us' link and ask us to add you to our News Letter to receive information about specials, recipes and items for sale.

Still very small, this Cherry will be fully developed by May 2012!

I want to thank every one of our Customers for supporting us at A Cup Of Faith Coffee Roasting Company. Because of your purchases, you have made it possible for us to donate Coffee to Hope Faith Ministries in Kansas City Missouri! They are a homeless shelter with such love for their guests as I have never seen. When we donate Coffee to them, that money can be used for other necessities for the homeless. In fact, they are working towards offering dental work for their homeless guests! WOW!!
I encourage you to find out more about Hope Faith Ministries at www.HopeFaithMinistries.org.
From what I understand, their guests have been very pleased with our Coffee, and refer to it as "The good stuff"! Thank you!

If you have noticed, we are currently not offering our Blends at this time. I promise you, they will be back soon. We are re-ordering some Coffee for these Blends that should arrive quickly. When they do, we will have our Blends back up on our website. In the meantime, we are offering our Single Origin Coffees. Single Origin Coffees are a particular Coffee from one place and one type where as Blends are a blend of Coffees from two or more different areas of the world.

Our Single Origin Coffees are still 100% Arabica Coffees, Organic and Fair Trade, using high grade beans and Roasted by a person, not a computer. Hand written dates on the package tells you the Roasted On Date. We want you to know how fresh your Coffee is!

With Fall less than a month away, I am truly looking forward to the cooler weather, a crackling fire, and the gathering of Friends and Family.
I am especially looking forward to seeing our Soldiers come home form Iraq. Words cannot express how proud we are of you, all of you. To all the Soldiers who have made it home, and who have given their lives, to the Veterans and POW's, thank you for defending the Freedom so many take for granted.

Blessings.

I cannot believe that it's been almost a year since our Diedrich IR-5 was hooked up to power and gas,  and became 'alive'.  How time flies!

When I first started A Cup Of Faith in Hemet, California in 2002, we were selling another Company's Coffee. I believed in the quality of their products, and still do! It was my Husband's and my Christmas tradition to purchase our favorite Coffee from them. I would anxiously sniff out my prize Christmas morning, and quickly brew some up for us to enjoy!

Sine the Lord told me to start Roasting around October 2009, a lot has happened.
First off, I was NOT thrilled with the idea. I argued with Him, (once again), and tried to explain to The Most High God that I cannot even bake, let alone roast Coffee!
I put it off, but once again, He continued to tell me, to urge me to start roasting Coffee.

Praying I heard the Lord correctly, and submitting, I told my Husband that I wanted a home Roaster for Christmas.
I have learned several times, that when the Lord wants you to do something, He will continue to gently, nudge you towards that direction, and will keep nudging you until you submit.

Christmas morning came, and to my 'surprise' (my Husband tried to hide the small roaster, but I snooped it out... he was not thrilled with me), I opened a lovely Gene Roaster, and a lot of green Coffee! I was thrilled, excited and so very nervous. This was an expensive investment, and I needed to learn how to roast!

As time went on, I did some roasts by watching Youtube video's or reading some books. I would get calls from my Husband when he was at the pool with the kids, telling me the smell would waft all the way there and through the Community since I had to roast outside.
Winter was quite, interesting during roasting.

It wasn't long before I was asking my friends on Facebook if they wanted to try some of my home Roasted Coffee. Several people were interested and so I sent out their samples.
Now I was really hoping for some suggestions, since I had no training in this area, but the responses I got were quite different. All of them were positive and encouraging comments! People were asking how they could purchase our Coffee, if we had a website, etc.

We decided to pursue Coffee Roasting more intensely.

We decided to invest in a larger, Commercial Roaster, and start building,
A Cup Of Faith Coffee Roasting Company.

We decided on a Diedrich IR-5 Roaster, picked out the colors, and all other necessary choice, and placed the order.

I picked out the place I wanted our Roasting facility at, and started the necessary repairs, adjustments, and changes that needed to be made. But the bigger factor that was on my mind was learning how to properly Roast Coffee.
You would be surprised at how many places Roast Coffee, yet have never had training. I'm sure they can Roast, but there are things about the Roasting process that need to be learned, as well as cupping, etc.  You can't just slap some beans in a Roaster, turn it on, walk off and come back in 15 minutes.
I wanted this Business to have a good reputation, and to deliver a high quality product.

I studied beans, and decided to Roast Organic and Fair Trade Coffees as much as possible. I wanted high grade beans, not beans that are cheap and cannot deliver a fine Coffee.
I also choose the beans based on having smooth qualities.
After choosing the beans, I placed the order. Thousands of dollars worth of beans were on the way!

I choose Boot Coffee Roasting School in California for my education. Other people tried to talk me out of it, other Roasters, suppliers, and people in the Coffee Industry. They said it would be a waste of money, and to just take a one day class at their facility.
I am so glad I didn't listen!
I spent eleven days in California, going to class every day except the weekends. During that time, I learned more about Coffee than I ever thought! I had no idea how much went into Roasting, and Cupping!
My time spent with Willem and Jody were wonderful, and I made some good friends from all over the world that I still keep in contact with.

When I returned home, I was anxiously awaiting the Roaster. Days passed, weeks passed, and it seemed like forever!  A Roaster from Diedrich takes about three months to build. Each one is built by hand.
They were kind enough to send me photos of the building process, and kept me informed.

Finally, the day came. Our 'baby' was to be delivered  by a very large FedEx truck! Weighing in at nine hundred pounds, (yes, 900 lbs... and it's a smaller one!), it was a bit of a challenge moving it once we got it inside the building. But thanks to my wonderful Husband, it was in without any problems!
Venting was installed, and later on the gas and electric was hooked up to it.
The photo above was from that day, the day she became 'alive'!
That is what we are celebrating, the day our Diedrich IR-5 was able to start Roasting. And Roasting with her gives our Coffees such a sweetness in the Cup, unlike anything I expected!

Now you have the whole story, almost a years worth.
On our first year Anniversary, we are celebrating the direction the Lord showed us to take, The Holy Spirit for His Wisdom, the FAITH it took to do this (let me tell you!!!!), the monies God provided  (this Business is DEBT FREE, and has been from day one!), the way my Family stood and still stands behind me, my Husband's strength, knowledge and determination (I could not have done it without you!),  from the great instruction I received from Boots, the wonderful service and beautiful machine we received from Diedrich as well as all of our wonderful Customers who have stood with us since we started.

From all of us at A Cup Of Faith Coffee Roasting Company,
THANK YOU!

I cannot wait to see what the Holy Spirit has us make up for our Anniversary Blend!

Use the POWER given to you!

If you live in the Smithville Missouri area, you will know that last night was not very peaceful.

My Husband checked the weather to find out that there was a storm coming in and tornado warnings were in effect.
My Husband is very prepared, and we already have things in the basement for such emergencies. He started to quickly gather clothing and other items as he watched the latest information on the storm.

Me, personally, I was already asleep when I heard him moving with purpose, around the room. I love how prepared he is. I know I can depend on him any time, anywhere, and he always comes through!
But I know he was preparing for the natural issue, how to survive a tornado.
I would much rather not have to deal with a tornado in the first place.

I remembered Mark 4:35-40, where there was a similar situation:
"35.On that same day [when] evening had come, He said to them, Let us go over to the other side [of the lake].
36. And leaving the throng, they took Him with them, [just] as He was, in the boat [in which He was sitting]. And other boats were with Him.
37. And a furious storm of wind [of hurricane proportions] arose, and the waves kept beating into the boat, so that it was already becoming filled.
38. But He [Himself] was in the stern [of the boat], asleep on the [leather] cushion; and they awoke Him and said to Him, Master, do You not care that we are perishing?
39. And He arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Hush now! Be still (muzzled)! And the wind ceased (sank to rest as if exhausted by its beating) and there was [immediately] a great calm (a perfect peacefulness).
40. He said to them, Why are you so timid and fearful? How is it that you have no faith (no firmly relying trust)?" Mark 4:35-40 AMP

Then I remembered this Scripture:
"19.Again I tell you, if two of you on earth agree (harmonize together, make a symphony together) about whatever [anything and everything] they may ask, it will come to pass and be done for them by My Father in heaven.
 20. For wherever two or three are gathered (drawn together as My followers) in (into) My name, there I AM in the midst of them." Matthew 18:19-20 AMP

Now, I have asked the Lord into my heart many years ago, and was filled with the Holy Ghost (Spirit) which is where power comes from. "8.But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth." Acts 1:8 AMP

I understand Faith.  "1.NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]." Hebrews 11:1 AMP

I understand that Faith works by Love! "6. For [if we are] in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love." Galatians 5:6 AMP

I understand that when Jesus ascended into Heaven that He gave us His authority to do what He did and more! "
"12. I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father.
 13. And I will do [I Myself will grant] whatever you ask in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son.
 14. [Yes] I will grant [I Myself will do for you] whatever you shall ask in My Name [as presenting all that I AM].
 15. If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands." John 14:12-15 AMP

These are all very important Scriptures, and need to be understood, and done in order. (If you have not accepted Jesus into your heart, you cannot use His Name with His Authority, etc.)

So, my Husband and I took each others hand, and prayed. We came together in agreement, and commanded that any tornadoes would DISSIPATE. We plead the Blood of Jesus over out home, our property, our community, and our area and any other that a tornado might try to touch down at, and prayed for protection. That not one window, not one roof single, nothing would be damaged!
We stated that "No weapon formed against us shall prosper" (See Isaiah 54:17). That means NOTHING, NO WEAPON, PERIOD.
We thanked God for His protection, and that all of these things would be done, IN JESUS' NAME.

Then, I went back to sleep as much as I could.

It hailed, it rained, the winds were high, lightning flashed what seemed like every few seconds and the power even went out around 5:00am. But when we got up in the morning, not one tree was damaged, not one thing wrong with out house or any other in our community that I can tell.

Was it because of me?
Was it because I have God's favor and no one else does?
NO!

God is no respector of persons! He does not favor any of His Children more than another.  "11. 1For God shows no partiality [undue favor or unfairness; with Him one man is not different from another]." Romans 2:11 AMP.

We just need to learn about God. Take His Word (the Bible) seriously. Put Him first in our lives and His Word. How can we use His Authority when we don't know what He is capable of or know what He has commanded us to do?

I just did what He told us to do, and believed (used my Faith) that He would perform it, and you can too!

I hope and pray that these blogs will help teach you how to as well.
For more information I encourage you to go to:

as well as many others I can name.

I want to thank God for His safety and protection, and my Husband for having such wisdom as well as always being prepared. (Even though I have complained about it from time to time. Please forgive me.)

If you have any questions, or need prayer, please contact us at info@ACupOfFaithCoffee.com. We will be more than happy to pray for you and or get you information to help you.

Be Blessed, safe, healthy, happy, prosperous and obediently walking in His Authority.

Not going well? Consider your ways!

"1. IN THE second year of Darius king [of Persia], in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came by means of Haggai the prophet [in Jerusalem after the Babylonian captivity] to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying,
 2. Thus says the Lord of hosts: These people say, The time is not yet come that the Lord's house should be rebuilt [although Cyrus had ordered it done eighteen years before].
 3. Then came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet, saying,
 4. Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses while this house [of the Lord] lies in ruins?
 5. Now therefore thus says the Lord of hosts: Consider your ways and set your mind on what has come to you.
 6. You have sown much, but you have reaped little; you eat, but you do not have enough; you drink, but you do not have your fill; you clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; and he who earns wages has earned them to put them in a bag with holes in it.
 7. Thus says the Lord of hosts: Consider your ways (your previous and present conduct) and how you have fared.
 8. Go up to the hill country and bring lumber and rebuild [My] house, and I will take pleasure in it and I will be glorified, says the Lord [by accepting it as done for My glory and by displaying My glory in it].
 9. You looked for much [harvest], and behold, it came to little; and even when you brought that home, I blew it away. Why? says the Lord of hosts. Because of My house, which lies waste while you yourselves run each man to his own house [eager to build and adorn it].
10.Therefore the heavens above you [for your sake] withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its produce.
 11. And I have called for a drought upon the land and the hill country, upon the grain, the fresh wine, the oil, upon what the ground brings forth, upon men and cattle, and upon all the [wearisome] toil of [men's] hands.
 12. Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people [who had returned from captivity], listened to and obeyed the voice of the Lord their God [not vaguely or partly, but completely, according to] the words of Haggai the prophet, since the Lord their God had sent him, and the people [reverently] feared and [worshipfully] turned to the Lord.
 13. Then Haggai, the Lord's messenger, spoke the Lord's message to the people saying, I am with you, says the Lord."
Haggai 1:1-13 AMP

As a Parent, my Husband and I know that sometimes your Children don't always do what they are told. They might drag their feet in doing something, get distracted and forget, or even just put it off as long as they can until the very last minute, which usually ends up being too late.
Now there is mercy, giving them the benefit of the doubt, and possibly extending the due date or time.
But if a Child continues to disregard, or put off doing what they know they need to, and show no thoughts of improving, then things get taken away.
Their fun things are slowly taken away, such as video games, time with friends, going places, T.V., and / or other privileges.
We remove these things in hopes that they will, "Consider their ways" and think about the choices they made. Hopefully it will motivate them, (along with Mom and Dad's instructions), to re-think what they have done (or not done), apologize and  commit to make better choices. Then do it!
When they show us that they have made a change in their choices (over a period of time), wonderful things happen, they get their privileges back!

God is the same way with His Children.
If you have been following His Commands, reading His Word, Loving others, Forgiving offenses, putting God first, etc. you will recall that things, most likely, were pretty nice! Life was on the up and up!
But if something has changed, and things have become difficult, most likely you have stopped doing something that He commanded, and / or that you used to do before.
It's time to Consider your ways!
Think back. What has changed?
Did He tell you to do something, and you have not done it, or put it off?
Most likely, that's where it began.
Maybe He told you to forgive someone for something, but you haven't.
Maybe He told you to give that Tithe, but you stopped because you were concerned about having enough.
Maybe you were afraid to do what He told you to do.

What ever the reason, you can turn it all around!
As God to forgive you for not doing what He told you to do.
Then, make a conscious decision to do it, no matter what!
Forgive that person, with all of your heart! If you need to learn how to get over the pain so you can truly forgive them, get a book on it and study the subject. (See our book section in "Our Store"!)
Tithe what He told you to! It's too important not to!
Don't be afraid, PRAY for His Wisdom and what to do. He will make a way where there seems to be no way!
Keep doing it daily! It might take some time, but if you keep on it, things get better. God loves you, and He wants the very best for you. But you need to be obedient as any Parent would expect of their Children.

Turn that thing around! Consider your ways, and make the necessary adjustments today!

Blessings.

Father's Day Contest!

FATHER'S DAY CONTEST! If you believe you know the BEST FATHER, whether they are your Dad, your Husband, or someone like a Father to you, let us know by emailing us at info@ACupOfFaithCoffee.com.
The winner will win two, 12oz bags of Coffee!

Let's honor the Dad's!

"Honor (esteem and value as precious) your father and your mother--this is the first commandment with a promise--" Ephesians 6:2 AMP

Midwest relief and thoughts of America.

I am very thankful for all of the relief donations that are being collected for the Midwest Tornado victims! Not only through A Cup Of Faith, but through many stores, Churches and even Children doing what they can to help.  It is amazing what can be accomplished when people pull together with a single minded purpose at heart!
Imagine what America could do, if everyone would stop pointing fingers, drawing lines and putting up boundaries between us and just pull together as one. We would be AMERICA,.. not a divided America, but ONE. We wouldn't be known as Black, or White, or Mexican, or Chinese, etc. We would be known as AMERICANS.

America, let's pull together in all areas, and become the vision our Forefathers had so long ago:

"One Nation, under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for ALL."

Thank you to all who help anyone in need!

Midwest relief for tornado victims.

As you have most likely heard, Joplin Missouri was hit hard by a tornado a few days ago. It destroyed homes, a school, the Hospital and everything in a six mile path.
Lives have been lost, and nearly destroyed for many others.

It is important that you know that God did NOT do this. The Bible says, "The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)." John 10:10 AMP.  The "Thief" is also knows as the devil.
God is not in the business of ruining lives, but He wants your life to overflow with good things. So please, don't blame Him.
He also said, "Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]" Hebrews 13:5 AMP.

First off, there is a difference in needing money, and LOVING money. If you love money more than God or anyone to the point you will steal, hurt or kill someone for it, THAT is the LOVE OF MONEY.
But what I want you to hear here is that God said He will not in any degree fail you, give you up, leave you, let you down, etc.! These are hard times, but trust God. He knows what you are going through, and it bothers Him. Trust Him to get you through this!!
I encourage you to also look up Isaiah 53:4, Isaiah 61:1, Galatians 6:2, James 1:22, Romans 12:15, Philemon 7, and John 14:26.

In an effort to help, A Cup Of Faith Coffee Roasting Company will be donating $4.00 per bag of Coffee sold, and 50% from all books will go to the Red Cross for disaster relief.
We will make a commitment to do this for one month, starting today, May 24th.

If you would like to donate to the Red Cross directly, here is a link to do so:
http://www.redcross.org/portal/site/en/menuitem.94aae335470e233f6cf911df43181aa0/?vgnextoid=19c51995c6710310VgnVCM10000089f0870aRCRD

I do know they are in need of blood donations and well as other items.

Thank you for all of your help, donations and prayers for the Midwest and anyone in need.

-Margo

Is it the END?!

31.Heaven and earth will perish and pass away, but My words will not perish or pass away.
32.But of that day or that hour not a [single] person knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." Mark 13:31-32 AMP.

NO ONE knows when the last day will be except our Father in Heaven. Period.
I am not saying this to disrespect anyone, or their beliefs. I am just going by the Word of God.
You choose.

Blessings!

Tests and Trials

"7.So that [the genuineness] of your faith may be tested, [your faith] which is infinitely more precious than the perishable gold which is tested and purified by fire. [This proving of your faith is intended] to redound to [your] praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) is revealed." 1 Peter 1:7 AMP

The time of trials and temptations is actually a time of purification of the Spirit! We draw closer to Him during trials, and if we let Him, He will show us our faults under pressure ("fire").
If we are willing to acknowledge them, and remove them from our life with God's help, we will become more and more pure (or Holy) in His sight. It's not always easy, but we need to be purified to be more effective for God.

A good book about this subject is, "A Heart Ablaze" by John Bevere. You can purchase it online under out "Store" link in "Books", or click on this link: http://www.acupoffaithcoffee.com/Books.html

Blessings!

Mother's Day weekend.

I truly hope everyone had as much fun this past Mother's Day weekend as we did!

On Saturday. my Husband and our Children wanted to go riding, so off we went to Valley MX in Grain Valley!

My Husband had such a great time, and the kids did too, even though it was really muddy.

Little jumps, big jumps, excitement all around! The kids enjoyed it, and our Daughter was impressed with a another little girl's riding there too! Quite the rider!
Now our Daughter has been inspired, and wants to ride the little dirt bike too.  I'll try not to cringe too much...

Our Sons did so well riding and cannot wait for more riding challenges!  (Again, trying not to cringe...)

I am so thankful for my Family, for them being so outgoing and determined like their Dad!
Thank you Honey, for all you do!!

On Mother's Day I was greeted with hugs and kisses, as well as Cards and breakfast.  Of course, I had to make some Latte's for my Husband and myself, which he was thankful for.
More outings took place at the park, and round Smithville. I wanted to take several photos of our area to put in a small video for later on. calling it, "A Taste Of Smithville".
If you have anything in our Community you think I should add, let me know! info@ACupOfFaithCoffee.com.

Smithville Lake off of "W" Highway.

It was a great weekend that ended with a wonderful dinner made by my Husband, happy yet tired kids, a lot of love and a slight sunburn.
I hope yours was just as wonderful,... minus the sun burn. ;)

Blessings!
